Coffee & Crime breakfast, starting at 10 am
Alison Gaylin joins us for a Coffee & Crime author breakfast on Saturday, September 8 at 10 am. Alison is the author of two previous novels featuring New York teacher and Broadway wannabe Samantha Leiffer but her new novel, Trashed, moves the action to Hollywood. Simone Glass is a young journalist who moves to LA, against the advice of her sister who is a successful TV reporter, to work for an edgy alternative paper. Unfortunately, when she arrives the edgy paper has gone over the edge and she finds herself working for the Asteroid, a tabloid that even the Inquirer calls "scummy." Simone soon finds herself in the midst of investigating a series of murders as well as falling into a romantic relationship with a rival tabloid's reporter in this novel that is both suspenseful and humorous.
The Coffee & Crime breakfast begins at 10 am and includes a continental breakfast along with talk and signing by the authors. Cost is $5 and reservations are necessary.
You can purchase tickets online. For multiple ticket purchases you can adjust the quantity in the shopping cart before you check out.
