 We're opening an old-fashioned soda fountain at MLB on Saturday, July 9 to celebrate publication of Kathryn Miller Haines's newest book. Step back to the 1940's for fresh brewed root beer and cream soda along with other treats.
Local actor, playwright and now author Kathy Haines celebrates publication of a new book that represents a whole new direction in her career.
The Girl Is Murder is an exciting new young adult novel set in the same wartime era as her earlier mysteries with Rosie Winter. The Girl Is Murder introduces 15 year old Iris Anderson who wants to help her dad out with his detective business because, among other things, he's lost a leg in the Pearl Harbor attack and he can't quite around like he used to. Problem is, he doesn't want any help but that isn't about to stop Iris.
We want to give Kathy a big launch for her new venture and hope that you'll come and buy copies not only for yourself but an extra copy for your library, too.
