Jonathan Santlofer, June 2

Artist and mystery writer Jonathan Santlofer will be the guest of our Sisters in Crime chapter on Monday, June 2 at 7:30. Santlofer turned his attention to mystery writing several years ago and has combined his interest and talents in the visual arts with the literary.

His lastest book, The Murder Notebook, features Nate Rodriguez, a sketch artist for the NYPD. A unique feature of this and the earlier The Anatomy of Fear is the inclusion of drawings by Santlofer that represent the work of the protagonist.

Nancy Horan, Monday June 9

Nancy Horan, author of Loving Frank, a novel of Frank Lloyd Wright, will be our guest at a talk and signing on Monday, June 9 at the Oakmont Carnegie Library.

Horan's book focuses on Wright's long-time relationship with Mamah Cheney and a portrait of a woman struggling with her own passions as well as the conventions that bound women of the period.
