Dear %%First Name%%,
Why not check out what our customers are reading in our January Best Sellers. Our Best Seller lists are a great place to find new authors for every taste.
The security of customers shopping on our website is important to us and as a result we have made a few significant changes.
First, we are discontinuing the payment option for Credit Card On File. We realize that this is a convenience for many regular customers but it creates an opportunity for potential problems and our credit card processors have requested that this practice be discontinued--not only by us but by all merchants. We regret the inconvenience but had no choice.
Secondly, for Visa card holders we've added a requirement for the CVV2 or Credit Card Verification number to be entered along with card number and expiration date. This is the 3 digit number on the back of your card, usually found by the signature line and often preceeded by the last four digits of the card number. This is a security device to ensure that the person making the purchse is in possesion of the actual card.
We hope that these changes, which ultimately are for the benefit of our customers, will not prove troublesome to you.
If you have any questions, please email us or give us a call at 888-800-6078.
Our congratulations to all members of the Steelers organization for an extraordinary accomplishment in winning their sixth Super Bowl.

We have a very special evening coming up in February with author T.C. Boyle and we wanted to give our online subscribers a head start on the tickets.
Friday, February 13 T.C. Boyle will give a talk and signing of his new book, The Women, at the Oakmont Carnegie Library at 7 pm. Boyle, the author of ten novels including Road to Wellville and The Inner Circle, is a noted speaker and his subject will be Frank Lloyd Wright. The Women tells the story of Wright's tempestuous life through the perspective of the four women in his life: his three wives and his mistress.
Tickets for T.C. Boyle's talk and signing are $31 and include a copy of the book, The Women. Companion tickets, which do not include the book, are $9 and are only available when purchasing regular tickets.
Jacqueline Winspear, creator of Maisie Dobbs, will give a talk and signing on Friday, March 6 at 7 pm. She's here with her sixth novel in the series set in post WW I England, Among the Mad. Jacqueline has made several visits to MLB and she is a terrific speaker and very knowledgable about England in the period between the wars; especially regarding social issues and tha status of women. You won't want to miss her talk this year. The event is at the Oakmont Carnegie Library, 3 blocks from the store and admission is $5.
Stay warm and keep reading .
