13th in the Meg Langslow series, Amateur sleuth
Mystery Lovers Review:
Donna Andrews returns with the ever hilarious saga for new mom Meg Langslow in The Real Macaw. When feeding the 4 month old twins is uppermost in Meg’s mind, the noises in the night lead to dozens of dogs, bevies of cats and more than a Macaw. The change of no-kill policy at the local animal shelter lead to a kidnapping caper worthy of Donald Westlake--that is to say a wonderful tale (oops!) and a lucky 13 for one of MLB’s favorite cozy writers. Donna and Meg can handle anything with wit and grace.
